Don't Let Your Anxiety Hold You Back from Health. 3 Ways We Can Help

Dental Anxiety | Bangor ME Dentist

Visiting the dentist is not comfortable for many people. In fact, for some folks it's actually terrifying. If you feel this way about the dentist, you should know that you're not alone. Millions of Americans experience fear or anxiety about their dental appointments. At Maine Family Dental, we understand how you feel, and we offer solutions to help our patients receive the high quality dentistry they deserve.

Sedation Dentistry

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is very helpful for taking the edge off and helping patients feel at ease. In fact, many patients report feeling euphoric, which is why it's called laughing gas.

You can breathe nitrous through a mask that you will wear during your procedure and this allows it to work quickly. Since it also leaves your system quickly once the mask is removed, it is safe for you to drive yourself home and continue your normal activities. It is also safe for children to use.

Advanced Technology

At Maine Family Dental, you will find advanced technology that is designed to make your experience stress-free. Tools such as the dental laser make certain procedures more efficient and it can also accelerate healing in some cases.

Dr. Buxton keeps our office equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology to ensure that your experience is excellent every time you visit.
